The stress of university entrance exams, the pressure of reaching the end of one path while preparing for the next, we’ve all been there.

Trying to find the right university for ourselves, sometimes having to let go of our dreams and make new plans. Excited, but also scared. New beginnings, hard goodbyes. Growing up, learning...

Being far from our country and our loved ones has never been easy, especially as children of Atatürk, raised with a deep sense of purpose, responsibility, and belonging. We carry that identity with pride even on days when it’s hard.

When we first came to the Netherlands, we had no idea what we were doing.

We panicked when our first tax letter arrived.

We didn’t know where to go on our first day.

On the first day of university, in a country where we knew no one, away from our families, we felt completely alone.

But time passed.

We learned. We grew.

That unfamiliar street from day one?

Now it’s where we sip our morning coffee.

It feels like home.

As we found our place here, our love for this journey grew too.

We didn’t just survive, we became.
